Lieutenant-General (ret.) Roméo Dallaire, Independent Director

General Dallaire is founder of the Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative, a global partnership with the mission to end the recruitment and use of child soldiers. With deep Africa experience, General Dallaire is a celebrated advocate for human rights, especially in regard to children, veterans, and the prevention of mass atrocities. He is also a respected government and UN advisor and former Canadian Senator. General Dallaire had a distinguished military career spanning forty years. Most notably, he was appointed Force Commander of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda prior to and during the 1994 genocide. General Dallaire is a recipient of the Order of Canada, the Meritorious Service Cross, the United States Legion of Merit, and the Aegis Award on Genocide Prevention.

Hisham Ezz Al-Arab , Independent Director

Hisham Ezz Al-Arab is the Chairman and Managing Director of Commercial International Bank (‘‘CIB’’) which he has led since 2002. Prior to joining CIB, Mr. Ezz Al-Arab was the Managing Director of international investment banks in London, Bahrain, New York, and Cairo. Mr. Ezz Al-Arab received the Euromoney’s Award for Excellence and was awarded EMEA Finance African Banking Award in recognition of the distinguished success of CIB in the banking sector under his leadership. Mr. Ezz Al-Arab is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the CIB Foundation and has been a director at MasterCard Middle East and Africa’s Regional Advisory Board since June 2007, in addition to being a principal member of the American Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ezz Al-Arab was elected as a member of the board of trustees for the American University in Cairo from November 2012 to March 2018. In 2013, Mr. Ezz Al-Arab was also elected as Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Banks and in 2014, Mr. Ezz Al-Arab became a member of the Institute of International Finance Emerging Markets Advisory Council.

Christopher Hodgson , Lead Director, Chair of the Audit Committee, Chair of the Governance, Compensation and Nominating Committee

Mr. Hodgson is the President of the Ontario Mining Association, President of Chris Hodgson Enterprises and a board member of Fairfax India Holdings Corporation, Recipe Unlimited Corporation and Canadian Orebodies Inc. He previously served as Lead Director for The Brick Ltd. He entered provincial politics in 1994 as the MPP for Haliburton-Victoria-Brock and, following the 1995 general election, was appointed as Ontario’s Minister of Natural Resources and Minister of Northern Development and Mines. During his time as Minister, Mr. Hodgson was recognized for creating new opportunities and growth within Ontario’s mining industry. Between 1995 and 2003, he also served as Deputy House Leader, Chairman of the Management Board of Cabinet, Commissioner of the Board of Internal Economy, and Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing. Previously he enjoyed a career in municipal government and real-estate development and is an Honours Bachelor of Arts graduate from Trent University.

Quinn McLean

Mr. McLean is a Vice President and a member of the investment committee of Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel. Mr. McLean joined Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel in 2011. Mr. McLean has over 14 years’ of experience in investment management and currently manages the investment float for Fairfax in the Middle East and Africa. Mr. McLean is a member of the board of directors of Gulf Insurance Group (Kuwait), AFGRI (South Africa) and Consolidated Infrastructure Group. Mr. McLean earned his B.A. (Accounting) and MBA from the University of Toronto, received a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Professional Accountant.

Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli , Independent Director

Ndidi Nwuneli is the Founder of LEAP Africa, a leading youth leadership nonprofit organization, and co-Founder of AACE Food Processing & Distribution, an indigenous agroprocessing company that was founded in 2009 to fight malnutrition, reduce post-harvest losses among smallholder farmers and displace imports. She is also the managing partner of Sahel Consulting, a firm focused on the agribusiness and nutrition sectors in West Africa. She started her career as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working in their Chicago, New York and Johannesburg Offices. Ndidi holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree with honors in Multinational and Strategic Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Ndidi was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and received a National Honor – Member of the Federal Republic from the Nigerian Government. She was listed as one of the 20 Youngest Power African Women by Forbes. Ndidi serves on numerous international and local boards including Rockefeller Foundation, Nigerian Breweries Plc. (Heineken), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. India, African Philanthropy Forum, Royal DSM Sustainability Board, Netherlands and the Centre for Memories. Ndidi is the author of “Social Innovation in Africa: A Practical Guide for Scaling Impact," published by Routledge in 2016.

Richard Okello , Independent Director

Richard Okello is the co-founder and CEO of Sango Capital Management, an investment company managing two private equity funds. Mr. Okello previously held various roles over 9 years ranging from associate to partner at Bridgewater Associates, the largest global hedge fund. Mr. Okello was also a principal at Makena Capital for 5 years. At Makena Capital, Mr. Okello managed multiple portfolios that were substantially allocated to emerging markets and oversaw the research into new investment ideas. Mr. Okello sits on the boards of several African companies and fund advisory boards as well as the boards of the Human Horizons Foundation, the African Leadership Foundation and Proprietary Capital USA. Mr. Okello was educated in Africa, the U.K. and the U.S., receiving an MBA Hons. from Pace University and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and public policy from Swarthmore College. Mr. Okello also attended the United World College of the Atlantic in Wales, United Kingdom.

Paul C. Rivett , Vice Chairman

Mr. Rivett served as President at Fairfax from July 19, 2013 to February 13, 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Rivett served as Vice President of Operations at Fairfax from August 1, 2012 to July 19, 2013, Chief Legal Officer of Fairfax from January 2007 to August 2012 and as Vice President from April 2004 to January 2007. Prior to joining Fairfax, Mr. Rivett was an attorney of Shearman & Sterling LLP. Mr. Rivett currently serves as Chairman of Recipe Unlimited Corporation. He previously served as a director of Zenith National Insurance Corp., Odyssey Re Holdings Corp., Northbridge Financial Corporation, MEGA Brands Inc., Resolute Forest Products Inc., The Brick Ltd. and Resolute FP US Inc. (formerly Bowater Inc.). Mr. Rivett holds a BSc from University of Toronto and an LLB from Queen’s University.

V. Prem Watsa , Founder & Chairman

Mr. Watsa has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited since 1985. He has served as Vice President of Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel Ltd. since 1985. Mr. Watsa formerly served as Vice President of GW Asset Management from 1983 to 1984 and in various positions, ultimately as a Vice President, with Confederation Life Investment Counsel from 1974 to 1983. Mr. Watsa is also a director of BlackBerry Limited.

Michael Wilkerson , Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Wilkerson served as the Managing Partner of AgriGroupe, which sponsored in 2014 the private acquisition of AFGRI Holdings. Previously, Mr. Wilkerson served as Global Co-Head of the Consumer, Food & Retail Group and as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group at Lazard. Mr. Wilkerson was also a Managing Director at Citigroup, where he led the Financial Institutions M&A effort in New York. Mr. Wilkerson is Chairman of the Boards of Directors of each of AFGRI and Consolidated Infrastructure Group, and is Executive Chairman of Atlas Mara Limited. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, a M.A. in International Relations from Yale University and a B.S. summa cum laude from Oral Roberts University.
